Who we are...

Twisted Gray Matter is composed from a group of local improvisers that have come together to share their twisted view of everyday life for anyone who is willing to listen! We come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but all of us enjoy the opportunity to act like kids again, just let loose, and hopefully entertain a few people along the way.


What we do...

We specializes in short form improvised comedy, that is created on the spot by using ideas from the audience. There is no script, so the actors have to create characters, locations, actions and dialogue based on audience suggestions. (We have even been known to pull volunteers from the audience to be part of our show!) If you like “Whose Line Is It Anyway?,” you will love our shows even better because it’s LIVE!


Our History...Our Future

Twisted Gray Matter was formed in 2009 as an offshoot of Improv U. Improv U has been spreading the fun of Improvisational comedy in San Ramon, California, since 2004. It all started out as a simple idea of expanding theater in our community and finding that hidden talent that lurks deep in the suburbs...and boy have we found it!

We will be making appearances at local comedy clubs, special events, and festivals around the bay area. Keep an eye out for our postings of appearances!
